Ted raced in stayer races - riding ...Good question. Ted raced in stayer races - riding closely in the slipstream of a motorcycle with an upright rider. The bikes often had straight or inverted forks to aid in stability at high speeds. I believe it kind of died out due to deaths on the track with increased speeds.
