Ernest Oberholtzer

Ober was a giant, one of those people I wish I were more like, not so much for what he accomplished, which was amazing, but for his values and the tenacity he demonstrated fighting The Good Fight against overwhelming odds.

If the Good Fight refers to the one for back country and wilderness, I've found that nowadays "overwhelming odds" is more appropriately termed "overwhelming idiots" and/or "assholes."

I'm leaving shortly for Indian Creek and your shout-out for Ober is most appropriate and appreciated.
