    I do not speak for Mr. Kvale, but he appears to feel that badges, jerseys, and caps are forms of "advertising", which could be construed as boasting, or at a minimum, calling attention to oneself, and is therefore in poor taste. He is generous with smiles though, generally of the sly variety.
