I am old and my plumbing is starting to fail - that is, I seldom pass up a chance to piss. I took these photos yesterday at Estero Llano Grande State Park on the way to the john. It is a female Rose-Throated Becard (Pachyramphus aglaiae). I am being specific on the location and circumstances because people travel from all over the U.S. to try to catch a glimpse of this bird and cut a new notch in their life list. Many, many fail. I don't maintain a life list. Life ain't fair.
What a beauty.
ReplyDeleteNo life lists in this household but we did see 22 birds of prey and inside 4 breweries the other day while tooling about.
Rather see the breweries right now. It's beer:30 right now - with no hops. :-(
ReplyDeleteyour images are both nicer then my ibird pro 3 photographs!
ReplyDeleteThe better side of not having a life list is that you can include google search to your virtual list.
A really good photograph requires a cooperative bird. "Say cheese", cooperative. If I would have realized the import of the photos, I would have pursued it for more, and hopefully better, photographs.
ReplyDeletebet your were excited looking thru your lens...very nine
