Green Herons

This is a fraction of what I took today. There was a courting pair of Green Herons at South Padre WBC. They were relatively close, preoccupied by their courting rituals, nest building and seemed oblivious to our presence.

These are one of my favorite birds. I love their feather patterns and colors. - G.
