In the night...the scream of the rabbit is terrible. But the scream of the owl which is not of pain and hopelessness and fear of being plucked out the world, but of the sheer rollicking glory of the death-bringer, is more terrible still.

Yellow-throated Warbler

I don't have the energy for a snappy narrative this evening. Briefly, after lunch we met Brian and Jutta at Estero Llano State Park and I took a few ordinary photographs of common birds. One exception, a good looking male Yellow-throated Warbler. As they say, if you get one good photo a day you are doing okay.

Today, this was it. - Gunnar

Great shot of one of my favorite warblers.

Now it may be my imagination, but there seem to be quite a few of these in the valley this winter. Carolee and I saw quite a few Yellow-throated Warbler during our stay in the valley. In past years, we'd be lucky to see one.

Maybe, although personally I really haven't seen that many.

One pix but a great one! In yachting situations, one completed race, if conditions are adverse, constitutes a regatta.
