The Blaine Velodrome

The National Sports Center is in Blaine, a northern suburb of Minneapolis. The Sports Center is a large complex with indoor facilities (8 sheets of ice) and a number of stadiums and athletic fields for various sports. For instance there are 52 soccer fields! But enough about obscure sports. It also has maybe the finest velodrome in North America (which in 20 years I have never even bothered to go up and look at).

The soccer crack smarted, but considering that the site hosts mostly US club teams, I'll let it pass. I would consent to sitting with you in the velodrome and listening to you discourse on the intricacies and finer points of what is going on out on the track. Will they let us smoke cigars?

I'm pretty clueless on what's going on in track racing. And it's Minnesota, you can't legally smoke anything in public. More or less.

This cannot stand. You must go up there and represent!

Man Rob, you do not want me representing you on bike track. But damn, it's wood - acres of beautiful sloped wood velo track.
