Garden: 07-14-11

With the season moving forward into deep Summer the lilies and daylilies have shown their faces and the color pallet has begun it's shift, with the summer yellows slowly replacing the softer Spring colors. It's lush, although one man's "lush" is another man's "overgrown".  I'm beginning to walk a fine line here, living on the edge. Next year I'll have to start transplanting on the lake side of the bamboo lattice.

That peaceful bench in the garden looks like the perfect place for morning coffee and a leisurely read of the paper.

Which reminds me, I have to go out a fetch my coffee cup.

We've put Irish Moss to growing between our cobblestones here in Michigan. It takes a few years but it spreads between them beautifully. Of course you can rush the process and paint literally anything (No, not one's spouse!) with your selected moss by mixing some moss and some live yogurt in a blender and then painting the desired object with the green stuff. The moss will grow here!
