How your brain creates God

My religion tends toward Deism. If you are a traditional, conservative Christian , be warned that the link may not reinforce your beliefs; but it's always good to get outside our box and a stretch a little.

That was an interesting article, but it did not address MY situation.

It appears I am "hard wired" to believe in riding the bikes. Especially in hard times.

Maybe you should start a religion, or at a minimum, a church that encourages riding. Wait! Wait! I know, you could call it the "Church of the Sweet Ride". You know, like a metaphor for life.

nah....that'd be juvenile.

I loved the finding in the article that "whether or not a belief is true is independent of why people believe it." And that "Religious belief is the 'path of least resistance' ... while disbelief requires effort."

Looks like you're going to have to start the "Church of the Sweet Ride" yourself, Gunnar. You could gather a huge "flock" of believers in here in Oregon (if your Minnesota riders are unwilling to join your wheeling religious venture).
