NIB 3ttt black suede
tool/camera bag
Okay guys, who among you could resist theses wraps? Honestly. They are not close to the frame color. They are absolutely dead on. Obviously a marriage made in heaven. This baby is done for now. I have a set of NOS Wolber Gentleman 81 rims that will get laced up (and probably tied) eventually. The Super Champion front rim on there now has serrated walls and it squeals even with the Modolo sintered pads. Everybody within a block knows when I pull up to a stop sign. Okay, bad example - when I am forced to stop. Hell, if I wanted that, I'd get some old French wreck with Mafac Racers.

cheap plastic benotto tape? I guess it's period "correct"
mw
Elegant Benotto tape.
Yo! Gunnar what happened to the Brooks Saddle? Boo Hisss.
At least put Concor Supercorsa on it. What do you think this some cheap Masi or somthing?
And I am with MW what happened to the original tape you had on it. Protest, protest!
JG
PS: man did you get slammed
actually I would say the Cinelli Unicantor is every bit as nice as a Brooks. They go for lotsa dough on the 'bay these days.
mw
3ttt, I mean. same difference.
mw
3ttt vs Unicantor.
Ref: "same difference"
The difference is about $75.
JG,
Originally the Brooks was only on temporary duty. It has returned to the Mooney whence it came.
mw,
And anybody who thinks my Benotto tape is passé or cheap is ...is ... NOT RIGHT and itchin' for a fight! Well okay, it is cheap. And probably not the tape du jour this year, but it makes me smile.
Uh oh fellas we need to pass around the plate to get Gunnar a brooks Saddle.
I have a black Brooks I got free from Dexter Henschel a couple of months ago, that is on a shelf. I have Brooks saddles on every single bike I own ... EXCEPT THIS ONE !!!! ... oh, and the white Kvale too.
I enjoy my french bikes...
Richard ,
I have never actually owned a French bike. As soon as I posted that I realized it was a bad thing to say. Bicycle racism.
Jeeze Gunnar, don't you ever ride that bike? There should be a scratch or two, some grease or at least some dust on it by now!!
Seriously though, it's still one heck of a pretty bike (even if that saddle makes my butt hurt just from looking at it)

I love the Benotto tape.
To me, the Unicator is an instrument of torture!
(But a nice looking one)

Allan,
It's Minnesota. Do you know how few real riding days we've had? Maybe two, he grumbled.
Sweet looking bike Gunnar!
I know what you mean, Gunnar. I live in Ottawa....that said, I commuted every day by bike this winter. Of course, we're built bit tougher up here. ;)
Allan
Sorry for excess posts, but dang that's a nice seatpost. What is it?
Allan Pollock
Allan,
Yes, you are tougher up there, and also more polite - like a whole country of Minnesotans. I've spent a little time in Ottawa in winter and it is frickin' balmy compared to here. This bike is definitely a fair weather bike. I've been riding the Colnago and a couple of fendered bikes. I hate it - salt slush and sand is hard on things.
Thanks, the post is an Avocet. California company, but I believe this one is Italian made. Beautiful, strong, light, and an absolute clusterf**k to mount, but adjusts nicely once you get it mounted.
I have to admit, we were blessed with an easy winter and a quick thaw this year...that said, I still haven't had my fair weather bike out yet...
Thanks for the info on the seatpost.
Allan
Well, it's not as if you can actually buy one anyway, unless you lived on ebay for a year..
ahem..

;)
Well. Maybe not a year.
is there not a basket for the pug?
Nay. It is a thought though.
Pug steals the show.
Haha, it seems like Buddy is in every picture of your bikes on the front steps
