In general, I think that religion is irrational and a destructive element in society. So why am I posting this? I dunno, but I found it interesting. From the Boston Post:

All religions maybe good, but the people that believe in them are not perfect. This make the religion bad. How many conflicts were base on religious values? You don't have enough fingers and toe's to count em'
I being Lutheran just have to look back to Martin Luther to prove my point (See: Church door, Wittenburg, Ger. 1517)

I think the key is to respect other people's beliefs. As the article points out, contriving commonalities between faiths--or other endeavors, such as sports--ultimately distorts and even trivializes them.
