A Report From Taylor, the Z-Man

Taylor is in Idaho on his epic ride across America. The one time Lone Wolf is traveling with two other cyclists. The other fellow looks like a serious cyclist. Taylor, bless his heart, looks like Taylor.

"Made it across Washington. Bucked a pretty nice headwind yesterday, still pounded out a century. I have never experienced touring with other people...the draft line is amazing."

I like the comment about drafting. Gunnar does Taylor have any friends?, or does he just like riding alone?

A very charming kid - man now I guess. He's always had a lot of friends. He's staying with some in Idaho right now. Most of his riding has been getting from point A to point B, regardless of distance. I guess most of them aren't ready to ride 500+ miles on a whim.

He ought to Paris, Brest, Paris. He is already doing his Brevet's. He should keep a log. They need proof to enter.

Sounds as if Taylor would kill it. Have Addy meet him there he can do the ride, Addy can be the service mech, you and your wife can stay in Paris and eat a ton of fois gras and drink some great wine. Oh yes and hang out at les Deux Magots. Can I go?

I like dreamin!

He should do PBP. It's made for him. 1200km? Not an issue. If I could get a commitment from him I'd get him on a proper lighted bike. I don't think he knows randoneering exists.

When is the next PBP? Next year? He'd better start getting his qualifying brevets in.

And yes, you can go along too.

Next "PBP" is in 2011.
