Gunner, Last week, I actually put into writing things that I had only thought about, but never actually spoke, concerning the seat cluster on my 1985 Trek 660. Today, in repayment, while on a nice afternoon ride, my Trek paid me back by snapping the return spring in one of my beloved Simplex Retro-friction shifters! I vow to never again write or voice negative comments concerning a bike that I am still actively riding. -Tony
Mr Gabus's seat cluster is a nice, pre-1985 set cluster. My first Trek (a 1984) had one just like it. Things got ugly in 1985 though..... (I'm riding the Merckx tomorrow!) -Tony
Ok, On to the next subject for tomorrow... Hopefully we will discuss the Pave' tomorrow a la the Le Enfant' Roubaix. The TDF is a real loose cannon so far, just the way I like it. Also having a hard time picking the one to cheer for so far. One sure thing I will not be rooting for the Spaniard.

hopefully someone will forward this to the new Heron guy and tell him what we think

I spent time with him yesterday. He wanted to know what was wrong with his cluster. He views it though the eyes of new love.
I am so happy he loves his bride. I am just saying, if he wants to sell bikes. i.e. to me.

I didn't mean the guy you gave it to, I meant the guy resurrecting the brand

I say we party at his expense. Darwin is at work again.
