Ok guys I will throw down the Gauntlet. I'm 54, 5'11" and 195lbs. My doc says I need to lose 15 to 20. How about 10. RAGBRAI is the last FULL wk in July. I'm in so are you? Ok maybe we can get Rev to go he will probably kick all of our butts. Anyway it is the most fun I have ever had. So what say you. BTw do the wives know all this sh?@ is going on.
I'm 65, 6'2"(used to be more), 250lbs(used to be much less). Ouch. Need to lose 50. I'm on the edge. Everyone will kick my butt on anything even resembling hills. Survival would be the issue, particularly the first couple of days through the loess hills. A late arrival?
I'm meeting with Mr.Kvale next Thursday to discuss a potential new RAGFRAME.
I'm a new guest... just found you via a Google Alert on RAGBRAI.
I'm 6'4", 285lbs, 49, diabetic, a cancer survivor with only 1 kidney.
This year was my fifth consecutive full week of RAGBRAI. If I can do it, anyone can. But you will need to train first ;-) Me? I had 1500 miles on my bike between March and RAGBRAI... but it all started with that first 12 mile ride in the spring.
RAGBRAI is a definite "Bucket-List" event. Do it, and change your life.
I just turned 50 yesterday and I'm 5'10" and 225 lbs. I'd like to lose 20 lbs...at least. Still a strong rider, but not as strong as I was when I was 30 and 180 lbs. I'm in for RAGBRAI 2010. Definitely on the bucket list.

Good one! But, I guess I'm not riding enough...I'm still fat.
Hell, I'm 50 pounds over. And Jack is talking RAGBRAI and hills.

Welcome Bent-Rider.
If I do haul my fat ass down there I'll give you all plenty of forewarning so we can connect on the road. You all be careful out there.
