I am still waiting for the stem - a long story, it had to be remade. The handlebar bumper will have an oxblood leather cover and bars wrapped after the new stem. This winter, new racks. Riding this makes me giggle.
Very nice -- and it will look great when your stem and rack get done. Interesting brake choices between front and rear. I did something interesting for my path racer single speed project too -- I used the brazed-on Paul's centerpull on the front, but had the rear seatstay bridge drilled for the bolt-on version of the Paul's centerpull brake -- that way I could leave the brake off if I was using the fixed-gear option and the stays would still look "clean," and I could easily attach the brake if I was using a singlespeed freewheel. There are pictures in this set that show my small front rack that I added, too -- built by Franklin Frames here in Ohio.
@Kyle, Very nice bike. Head badge! And rack! My thought behind the brakes was for an eventual rear rack that would need bag clearance. The front for serious stopping. And frankly it's fun to throw in a few little quirky things here and there.
Great looking bike, Gunnar. She needs a gun rack to compete with all those shooting brakes though...
Are the bags from Berthoud? She looks perfect for credit card touring (my favorite kind--No camping gear to lug uphill and clean sheets, mostly, each evening!)
Oh. (to be uttered with a slight edge of sarcasm.)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is what I want.
If I wanted a cutting edge road bike I'd probably have one. I think they are silly, but I'll wager that every old duffer generation feels the same about the next.

Berthoud. I also have a pair of small matching panniers, if I ever get a rack to hook'em on.
Very nice Gunnar. Beautiful! But are you sure you wouldn't rather have a C'dale Supersix? (-;
My previous post is sarcasm.

It's Sunday morning here. I have sat and stared reverently, dolefully and wishfully at the altar. May I now go out and play? ;)
Great beauty always puts me in a good mood.
