We went to the location where the White-throated Thrush has been seen a number of times. The birds have stripped the berries from the Holly and there have been fewer and fewer glimpses of the bird. Ben Basham, who may have more species in North America than anyone, was sitting quietly nearby on a bench by a water drip. I sat with him for a few minutes. His observation? "If the bird is still here eventually it will need to drink."

I like the Hummer. Hit the focus really close.
I like the hummer too. My fav of the bunch, actually. Though nice photo of the Virginia Rail, even if through the reeds.
And I like that photo of Ben. I mean, that guy's been birding a looooong time.
