I've always heard how obsessive Merckx was about his equipment, but seeing him spending 10 minutes adjusting his saddle height really brought it home.
Also, De Vlaeminck has always looked like a "big" cyclist to me in the photo's I've seen. But watching him getting a massage and eating breakfast it struck me just how lean he was. Not an ounce of fat on that body. Just muscle and bone.
